At Cotswold Fudge Co, we are totally committed to protecting your privacy and we will only use the information we collect about you in accordance with the Data Protection Act 1998. This policy explains how we will use the data we collect about you.
The information we collect.
There are two types of information about you that we will collect:
- Anonymous Information
- Your personal information
When you place an order on the Cotswold Fudge Co website, we collect your name, e-mail address, credit card details, billing address, shipping address, billing address and telephone number. This is the information we need to be able to process your order, organise delivery and to communicate with you regarding your account and the provision of our service.
We then store securely these details on our system for our records, and we will ensure that this information is confidential.
In order to help understand our business and look at ways of improving our service to you, we will keep your order history on file, but we will not share this information with any other company. The only time we would share information about you, our valued customers, is if we are instructed to do so by a recognised legal authority.
If you wish, we also give you the option to opt in to receiving e-mails from us with news about products and services which we think may be of interest to you.
Credit card details
Credit card details are processed by our payment processor Paypoint.net, and at the point at which your card details are taken, you will be connected to the secure Paypoint.net site. Paypoint will never give us information about your credit card, and so we will never have access to or store your credit card details.
By using our website, you consent to the collection and use of your information by us. You can request details of the information we have about you by emailing us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
